Global59779711623, I appreciate the feedback you have provided. So, once again, I am sorry to say that I won’t be staying at the Long Wharf next time. I have always stayed at your hotel since 2005 – I would go to Lahey Hospital for a medical check-up and then come down and stay for 3 – 4 days to do some shopping and to just “chill out.” Lastly, I need to emphasize that the mannerisms and attitude of the front desk (male) staff has much to be desired. At $600.00 a night (plus Wednesday at $730.00) for 4 nights (costs in excess of 3,000) I do not find the hotel of value any more. The service quality is going down significantly. All of these problems are not supposed to happened in the Marriott. A maintenance person had to bring another refrigerator to our room as the current one was out of refrigerant gas. To further our frustration, we found that the refrigerator was not working, and we had to call for help again. We have thought it would be checked by the House Cleaner but alas, we had to call your Front Desk the next day for a refill. When I am showering, I found out the it ran of hair conditioner. To my surprise, the shampoo, hair conditioner and shower gel are stored in big bottles mounted fixedly on the wall, which look like those in some budget hotels. In such an expensive hotel, we expected the toiletries would be in a nice set of small bottles supplied daily. Also, when I asked for a late check-out I was granted ½ hour by your front desk otherwise I would have to pay I would have thought that an hour at the minimum would have been granted. It seems as though you need an overall maintenance. When we were there last time the escalators broke down, this year the main door broke down. First, I must say that for a healthy person this is not wise as they could easily fall trying to balance with their luggage (law suit to follow) and secondly, your receptionist could have taken one look (he did, but I suspect didn’t care) at me and seen that I was over 70 years old and to add further had a stroke last year! An escalator was not a viable option. When checking-out, I asked your front desk receptionist (male) “how were we to take the luggage down” and he curtly replied “to take the escalator” as if was the norm. When checking-in there was nobody to assist us with our baggage while the check-in counter is located on the 2nd floor of the building and you need to struggle with 5 pieces of luggage with the escalator to go up.
